By Ferry:

There are currently two ferry companies providing daily sailings to and from Orkney.

Pentland Ferries sail from St Margarets Hope in Orkney and Gills bay from the Scottish mainland. They have up to four sailings a day in the peak season providing flexibility.

Northlink Ferries operated by Serco provide up to 3 sailings per day and pass by the Old Man of Hoy.  They sail from Stromness in Orkney and Scrabster on the Scottish mainland.

Northlink also provide a sailing between Kirkwall in Orkney and Aberdeen on the Scottish mainland. These sail every few days.

By Plane:

Flights can be booked on Loganair. Booking early is advised as prices do rise as the date of booking to date of travel reduces. Flights are available from Sumburgh in Shetland, Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
